EVERYTHING IS BORROWED

The words are 'ace'
     Well done Mike!
 The Streets-Mike Skinner
How true that we come into this world naked and bare and although we use  many things we cannot take them with us when we depart from this life. In our earth life we are spirit with a body, not body with spirit.
I am greatly saddened by my daughter's current situation, that of homelessness, she won't come to live in Norfolk with me  as she likes London life. Having just got thrown out of her last 'crash place' with bad terms, she now has virtually nothing but the clothes on her back and she says her stuff was smashed up. I thought the video of the bailiffs removing everything from the house had a similar feel to one's possessions being taken away as in my daughter's situation.

EYE CYST---BLEPHARITIS/CHALAZION/MEIBOMITIS

Just thought I'd update you regarding my lower eyelid. I was prescribed Chloramphenicol eye ointment to be used 4 times a day for one week. So now that has finished I'm feeling my eye is getting back to normal. I hated using the ointment as it causes discomfort being thick and sticky. I don't know why they can't make some of these ointments into drops which are so much easier to use! My eye looks normal  and is painfree, and I can just feel a slight bump where the cyst was and hope that this is just scar tissue and part of the healing process.

SEAL COLONY

The other evening I went with friends on a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point. It was a funny affair as you had to buy the tickets for the trip by the quayside at Blakeney  then drive up the coast to the next village, Morston. From Morston Marshes car park I noticed that everyone around were wearing welly boots, the thought ran through my head as to whether they knew something I didn't. We then had to walk out across wooden bridges until we arrived at the landing stage for Bishops Tours where there were 2 boats moored in the mud, and no sea to be seen, just a narrow stream of water filtering past. With half an hour to go, there just didn't seem to be enough time for the water to come in deep enough for the boats to set sail.
We were a little late setting off by the time we all climbed into the boats, but sure enough the water was there when we were ready, and off we went. The tour leader gave us all the safety talk and then this was replaced by telling us all about the birds and seals along the way and answering any questions people had. It was so lovely to see the seals popping up out of the water although the 'heavens opened up' and we were as wet as them after a while. We saw both the Common Seals and the Grey Seals (apparently the Grey seals are more common than the Common seals) and there were many swimming around and many more just lying about on their island. I did try taking a short video but it would make you sea-sick if I put it on here! So, I'm hoping to install some still pictures instead. I would love to take this trip again when the waters are calmer as we were told that the seals will swim right up to the boats in those conditiond and another time would be June when there are all the seal pups to be seen. A boat trip worth doing for sure.

HAD THE CYST REMOVED FROM MY EYE TODAY

Blepharitis/chalazion/meibomitis
I must say, the removal of the cyst in my lower eyelid, was a great improvement than the last time I had one done. I was really impressed with the whole process and the staff were all brilliant and I was even given a cup of tea and biscuits afterwards.  I was out of my house at 2.45 and back indoors again by 4.05, so glad I no longer live in London! I've got dressings over my eye now that I can take off after 6 hours, and as the numbness is wearing off it is beginning to feel a little sore. I'm just wondering if I'll have a black-eye in the morning or a headache. So, if anyone out there is getting nervous about having the same thing done, I can assure you that it's nowhere near as bad as you think. Don't lose any sleep over it, as it only takes a few minutes for the actual removal, the rest is just preparation and paperwork. I couldn't get a cab straight away, so another lady accompanying her friend offered to take me home, which I gladly accepted. So nice to meet people with genuine kindness. Now I'm just going to have a lie down and listen to music. It's very strange what I can see with my eyes closed, I think it would make an interesting painting if it wasn't in perpetual motion and could freeze frame it.
