I enjoy writing as most of you know so.......

http://allpoetry. com/poem/by/sunray  this link will take you to where I've just begun to share my poems. I've never really intended my poems to be read by others, as I've always done them for my own personal expression, but now I ve decided to share, I hope you like them.

HAVE YOU GOT FIBROMYALGIA?

If you have got fibromyalgia or know someone else who has it who lives in the Cromer and Sheringham areas I would be interested to hear from you.

MY EYE!

Blepharitis/chalazion/meibomitis-all names given to my eye problem, so I'm going to call it a  meibomian cyst. Anyway I had the meibomian gland unblocked at the hospital. Apparently there is a chance the cyst might go of it's own accord, but as there is still a hard lump, I'm going to be put on the waiting list for it to be removed. So that's that for now.

TOMORROW I'M HAVING MY EYE DONE......

I am not looking forward to having my hospital appointment tomorrow one bit, but I do hope the 'nasty lump' isn't just inspected . I'm hoping it will be removed there and then so that I don't have to return for treatment another time.Disappointed

WHITSTABLE-qype interest?

Most of these pictures I took a couple of years ago but thought they may be of interest to anyone thinking of travelling down into Kent, as Whitstable is a lovely coastal town worth a visit. Most famous for oysters, there is an annual event called the Oyster Fair and there's very much a carnival atmosphere. Many people dress in Victorian style to get into the spirit of things, as they watch the boats coming in with their catch.

Look at my albums on this page to see further pictures in my slide show of Whitstable.

THE CONQUEST OF HEROES

THE CONQUEST OF HEROES---BOOK & MMO GAME

It seems a while since I mentioned  the exciting development of The Conquest of Heroes MMO game by my son's UK based company http://www.burningmanstudios.com  I thought I'd give a bit of an update to let you know that the book written by Christopher  L. Buckner,  will be released later this year, and in the meanwhile a new website has been set up for fans of The Conquest of Heroes :-      http://www.conquestofheroesfans.com/index.php?categoryid=16  where Burning Mans Studios present a PODCAST with news, updates, interviews, information and even an audio drama segment, Episode 1 "Twilight" So if you're interested in gaming, take a look at the site and make sure you don't miss out on sharing what I think will be the start of something BIG, with features planned, that have never been seen before in the world of MMO gaming it's set to lead the way into a whole new experience. http://feeds.feedburner.com/ConquestOfHeroesRadio

Just an up-date on the book....... it exists, but there's a bit of a delay before it becomes accessible to purchase. It will be well worth the wait believe me!!16/04/09

AMAZONA ZOO WILDLIFE

As I haven't been able to put the animal pics into the album, I've decided to place some into this blog space. I apologise for some of the pic quality as some were taken on my phone, and by making the slide show presentation it seems to have cut off parts of the animals too. Sad

Animals

Just to apologise that I've not been able to load my animal pics into the album after all.
As it seems to be a problem I've not had before I don't know how long it's going to take me to sort it all out.

AMAZONA ZOO

Well after 2 years of waiting, the Amazona Zoo has now opened it's doors to the public and is set to be a lovely new attraction for Cromer and it's many holiday and educational visitors throughout theyear. The zoo has been merged into an abandoned woodland with some old leftover brick kilns and a series of lakes and islands. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and will no doubt improve even more as the various plants and landscaped areas  become mature. All the animal housing and buildings have been constructed with timber and pathways around the zoo are sensitively meandering around the existing natural features.
As the name suggests, the zoo is specialising in the wildlife from the rainforests and areas of South America. The animals range from small reptiles to the the larger jaguars and tapirs. The reptile house has a beautiful array of exotic plants and outside there are the colourful macaws and parrots that we have come to expect when we think of the tropical rainforests.
Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours having a relaxing time taking photos and looking to see what all the animals were up to, and ended up having some refreshments whilst sitting overlooking the lakes from the Veranda Cafe and on such a hot sunny day the cooling shade from the nearby trees was idyllic.
Today I received a phone call to tell me that my season ticket was now ready fopr collection.
