5月27日 What are you looking for?I'm on a few dating and social sites, and most of them want you to fill in details about what you're looking for and ask you to load up a photo so that people can see what you look like. So what am I looking for? and is it working for me you may ask....... well for a start, I don't really know what I'm looking for until I find it, and so far, I have found quite a bit of what I'm looking for, then I'm asked why am I still remaining on the sites. Simply that there are a lot of lovely and interesting people to know, some as on-line friends, and others to meet in the real world.
What I can't understand is how much deception takes place when there's no chance of the truth never coming out. The most common deception being the use of old photographs or images of someone else. So if you plan to meet someone and they're nothing like their picture, how can you ever start with a position of trust? Isn't it better to meet someone without the shock reaction that occurs if you've told lies.? I was really hoping to meet new people who live local to me so we could meet up and socialise as a small group, but although friendship maybe requested, people are often more interested in finding a long term partner. Many young men are disappointed that the only girls they fancy are just interested in clubbing and pubbing or have children already so it's a bit of a mindfield, and what you see, is not always what you get. Sadly, many vulnerable people also end up being conned by scammers on some sites, so it's important not to fall for the 'romantics' and 'God fearing' people that try to prime their victim for ages whilst they prepare for their 'sob, sob story' and then try to extract money for some ficticious cause. Flirtbox is my favourite dating site as it has a friendly bunch of people using the Forums and you get a sense of being part of an on-line community. I guess these days, when so many people work long or unsociable hours, the idea of using the web for selecting dates and friends is never going to go away.  5月1日 mirrorspaceCrazy weather! I had white roses growing all through the winter with the last one vanishing in January and snowdrops, violets and primroses celebrating the spring. The plants and animals just don't know how to react! This archway in my garden was dripping with snow and icicles the other week and flowers the next. The birds are busy building their nests and insects are emerging with each spell of warm sun between the many showers and strong winds. I am reminded that everything has a season, and as guardians of this beautiful planet earth, mankind is not doing so well if Mother nature feels like she has to fight back for survival and make adjustments that appear chaotic. I have been allowed this small patch of paradise, my garden, with which to look after and tend to the best of my ability and love and in return she will give up her fruits to be enjoyed and savoured for both myself and the wildlife that love to be here. If there is any question of difficulty, then help will arrive if there is a good intent on my side. Let us all do whatever we can to live in harmony with nature and preserve whatever is in our power. Don't you think it's amazing when you see a single blade of green growing out of a concrete pathway?mirrorspace |
