HONESTY-LOST AND FOUND

I was really very lucky last night.
I went to the supermarket, got the train home, was loaded with a shopping trolley and other bags including my handbag. As I had underestimated my load, it was really too heavy to be walking up the road with. I had to keep stopping and putting everything down for a rest. In the pitch blackness I didn't realise until 3 hours later that my handbag was missing. I re-traced my steps with a torch without luck. I phoned the police station and gave details, then cancelled all my cards and started to realise the implications of all the missing phone numbers. Then the doorbell rang, and there stood a policeman holding out my handbag to check the contents. He told me that as soon as he'd put the phone down from my call, he received another from a lady who had found it!
I'm so glad that there are still some honest people around who are prepared to put themselves out. Needless to say I was truely grateful for the 'finder' not being tempted by being a 'keeper', 'cos nobody would have known had she done that and it would have left me with quite a few difficulties as a result of losing the contents of my bag (and it has been my favourite bag for a long while too). THANKYOU!

SOULSTAR

I've now started a new album to show my initial 'working drawings' and the final painting/artwork which I hope you will find interesting. The first of these is my painting entitled SOULSTAR  and now, with the risk of being thought a 'headcase' I'm going to reveal the inspiration behind the art.
Some years ago, after a pleasant Christmas day I went to bed and was awoken in the small hours by a bright light. Normally, I would have associated this with helicopter search lights, but I couldn't heart a sound. I opened my eyes and my bedroom was just flooded with brilliant golden sparkles of light and patterns swirling and twirlinginto every corner, it was so beautiful and I felt a massive feeling of love embracing me, no hands, arms, or human form, just patterns, ribbons of light, love, light, beauty and peace. The colours were indescribable, metallic sparkles and shimmers of warm golden hues are the nearest I can give. The experience lasted for a good half hour, maybe even longer.
So before you ask the questions, no, I was not on drugs, no, I was not still asleep, no, I did not have too much to drink, no, I was not ill.......I don't have the answers about what this was all about but I accepted  the 'vision' with gratitude as a 'gift' from spirit, and then I just wanted to record something of that night, resulting in the Soulstar painting. So that is where my inspiration came from.

CLAUDE MONET'S WATERGARDENS/ART

QuoteAlthough I'm not a well-travelled person, I've been thinking about some of the places I've visited, and thought I would share with you a selection of photographs from my visits to Monet's garden both in summer, and  in autumn. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity to return there in springtime, by which time I hope to have a digital camera and achieve better quality pictures.

I think it is easy to appreciate how important Monet's garden was to him, providing a fantastic all year round resource for his paintings, and the gardens themselves being planted in 'drifts of colour' are truely inspiring even for today's visitors.

I would like to think that my photos will be looked at by school children when they come to study the art work of Claude Monet so they can see the clear link between his paintings, and the beauty of nature.
